Fairfield’s newest Charlotte development brings flexible coworking and creative spaces, indoor-outdoor amenities and Bozzuto’s resident-first experience

Cavella, Fairfield’s new five-story, 307-home apartment community, is now officially complete, welcoming residents to a thoughtfully designed living experience at the intersection of NoDa and North End. Professionally managed by Bozzuto, the community is located at 2222 N. Tryon St., with access to JUMP transit and less than 10 minutes from Uptown Charlotte and minutes from Camp North End, Optimist Hall and NoDa’s growing collection of restaurants, breweries and entertainment venues. Its completion marks Fairfield’s latest investment in Charlotte as North Tryon continues to emerge as one of the city’s rapidly growing residential corridors.
“Cavella reflects what today’s residents are looking for in a community,” said Michael Gribble, Vice President of Development for the Carolinas at Fairfield. “People want well-designed homes alongside flexible spaces that support remote work, wellness, time outdoors and connection with neighbors. We saw an opportunity to create a community that not only serves today’s residents but contributes to the continued evolution of North Tryon as one of Charlotte’s dynamic places to live.”
Designed Around Everyday Living
Rather than treating amenities as standalone features, Cavella was designed around daily life. Residents can begin the day with a workout in the fitness center before stepping onto the outdoor Fitness Terrace, take meetings in private coworking pods, record a podcast between appointments, gather with friends around the pool or grilling areas, and then end the evening watching the sunset from the rooftop Sky Deck, all without leaving the community.
Among Cavella’s more notable amenities is a resident podcast recording studio, reflecting the growing demand for spaces that support creators, entrepreneurs and professionals producing content from home. Additional amenities include a resident social lounge with full kitchen, pet park and pet spa, bicycle repair station and storage, package concierge and thoughtfully designed gathering spaces that encourage meaningful connections among neighbors.
Thoughtful Design Inside and Out
Inside each residence, Cavella balances modern design with everyday functionality. Studio, one- and two-bedroom homes feature two custom designed interior palettes, granite countertops, tile kitchen backsplashes, under-cabinet lighting, premium kitchen and bath fixtures, slide-in ranges, custom closet systems and expansive windows that maximize natural light. Private balconies, Juliet balconies or ground-floor patios in every home further extend the community’s emphasis on indoor-outdoor living.
Investing in Charlotte’s Next Connected Corridor
Cavella reflects Fairfield’s continued confidence in Charlotte and the future of North Tryon. Located where NoDa, North End and Lockwood converge, the community places residents at the center of a corridor gaining momentum through new housing, retail, dining and public investment. Access to local microtransit provider JUMP Transit will further connect residents to nearby destinations through convenient, on-demand rides, complementing Cavella’s proximity to some of Charlotte’s well-known destinations.
“Beautiful buildings are only part of what creates a great place to live,” said Jessica Gonzalez, Senior Vice President at Bozzuto. “The resident experience is what truly brings a community to life. Through thoughtful service, engaging resident programming and meaningful relationships, we’re excited to create a place where neighbors become friends and residents genuinely feel at home.”
Since announcing leasing earlier this year, Cavella has introduced Charlotte to a community centered on intentional design, outdoor living and spaces that support modern lifestyles. Now fully complete, the community delivers the vision Fairfield set out to create: a place where thoughtful architecture, hospitality-driven property management and an evolving neighborhood come together to offer residents more than just an apartment, but a connected way of living.
