Three more tenants have been announced for the RedStone development in Indian Land, South Carolina, according to a press release from developer MPV Properties. These tenants will join several others including anchor-tenant, Stone Theatres, which is building a 14-screen movie theater in the shopping center.

Tropical Smoothie Café has executed a lease for 1,688 SF. Peter and Linda Ruggiero, local to Charlotte, are franchisees for this location and have plans to open additional units in the future. Lance Lancaster with Core Properties, Inc. represented Tropical Smoothie Café, and Keely Hines with MPV represented the landlord in this transaction.

Jackson’s Java has signed a lease for 2,178 square feet of space, which includes a drive-thru window. Owner/operator, Mike Jackson, plans to offer morning rush-hour commuters drive-thru coffee service. The space will also include a wine bar component called Point Lookout Vineyards Tasting Room, which will feature wine and small plates in the evening. Keely Hines with MPV represented the landlord in this transaction.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has purchased a 1.0-acre outparcel at the shopping center fronting Highway 521. The national restaurant chain offers steakburgers, fries and a variety of frozen custard desserts. Bill Moseley with Moseley Real Estate Advisors represented Freddy’s, and Keely Hines with MPV represented the seller in this transaction.

RedStone is located in northern Lancaster County at the intersection of Highway 521 and Highway 160.

These newly announced tenants are part of Phase I of the RedStone development, which is currently underway. The targeted completion for Phase I is winter 2017. In total, the center will contain 54,900 square feet of retail shop space, in addition to the 55,400-square-foot movie theater, and serve as a major retail hub to residents of Indian land, Ballantyne, south Charlotte, Fort Mill, western Union County, and all of Lancaster County.

Steve Vermillion and Mike Bilodeau of MPV Properties are leading the development of the project and Keely Hines is responsible for leasing.
