Real estate developer Simon announced an interior makeover for Concord Mills that is scheduled to begin in May.
Completion is expected in early 2017. Concord Mills has more than 200 stores.
Plans include modernization and a redesigned and updated dining pavilion, including new bar-height seating, banquettes with soft seating, communal-style tables, new tile flooring and LED lighting.
Also planned are four new lounge areas and enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity and chargers.
The renovation will follow recently announced dining additions, including Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse and Chipotle – all opening in new outdoor spaces between Books-A-Million and The Children’s Place.
“Concord Mills’ renovation is a highly-anticipated project for the community and further reflects Simon’s investment in the Charlotte market,” said Ray Soporowski, general manager for Concord Mills. “Our goal is to continuously evolve the shopping experience for our local shoppers, as well as the thousands of people who visit us from outside Charlotte each week.”
