, a nationally recognized developer of single-family homes, multifamily residences and lifestyle communities headquartered in Jericho, Long Island, N.Y., has been recognized for its expansion into North Carolina. Its Lakeside Pointe community near Charlotte was named 2026 Community of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte at the annual MAME (Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence) Awards.

Located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, N.C., Lakeside Pointe represents one of the final large-scale opportunities for new-construction lakefront living along . When complete, the 83-acre peninsula community will include 215 homes, with more than 26 acres preserved as open space, blending natural landscapes with a high-amenity, lifestyle-driven residential offering.

The recognition marks a milestone for Beechwood as it continues to scale its presence beyond its strong New York footprint. Since entering the North Carolina market in 2021, Beechwood has completed or has under-construction more than 1,100 homes in five communities stretching from Weddington to Chapel Hill, N.C. These projects represent more than $800 million in investment and the creation of 50+ jobs, which is only the beginning of the company’s long-term plans for the region where homes sales prices have ranged from mid $600,000 to over $2 million.

“We thank the Charlotte Home Builders Association for their recognition of Lakeside Pointe on Lake Norman. Recognition by industry peers for our flagship Charlotte community is especially meaningful. It reflects a milestone in our expansion strategy to bring new homes to new markets in a way that is relevant to where and how new home buyers want to live,” says Steven Dubb, principal and president of The Beechwood Organization. “Lakeside Pointe builds on our 40 years of experience in developing award-winning lifestyle communities. This high caliber development embodies our commitment to delivering thoughtfully planned, design-forward homes and communities that prioritize lifestyle in every neighborhood where we build.”

The Community of the Year award recognizes excellence in sales, and overall community design. Lakeside Pointe was conceived by Beechwood as a connected waterfront

neighborhood offering shared lake access along a mile-long peninsula, paired with a curated mix of amenities.

Signature features include the Beacon Club, a resident-focused clubhouse with panoramic water views, indoor-outdoor gathering spaces, a fitness center and flexible social areas, along with an expansive pool and sundeck overlooking the lake. Additional amenities include walking trails, a dog park and planned future retail offerings, along with a private dock slated to launch in summer 2026.

Since opening for sales in May 2023, Lakeside Pointe has seen notable momentum, demonstrated by 80 homes sold and 51 closings. The community continues to attract buyers seeking high-quality homes and a lifestyle-driven environment within the Charlotte region.

Beyond Lakeside Pointe, Beechwood has three additional thriving communities in the Charlotte area: In Union County, , a mix of 62-luxury and custom homes on 86 acres, and the now-sold out 35-estate home community of Weddington Glen on 48 acres; and in Mecklenburg County, , where four multi-million dollar homes are currently for sale.

Beechwood also has a foothold in the Triangle area with , an incoming luxury multi-use community in Chapel Hill that is the Town’s largest and most significant mixed-used development in over 20 years.

As Beechwood continues to expand, the company remains focused on identifying high-opportunity markets and delivering communities that align with evolving buyer preferences for lifestyle, location and design.

The Beechwood Organization, also known as Beechwood Homes, is one of the nation’s largest privately owned developers of single-family and multifamily housing, and a leading builder of lifestyle communities on the East Coast.

Since 1985, Beechwood has built more than 10,000 homes across 80 communities, with developments spanning New York and North Carolina, including the Charlotte and Chapel Hill markets. The company also owns and manages a diversified portfolio of luxury apartment buildings, hotels and retail properties.

In 2021, Beechwood expanded into North Carolina, bringing its focus on innovative design, wellness, sustainability and smart home living to communities across the region.
