Code Enforcement to move in January

A renovated building that Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement and other government services will move into is scheduled to open Jan. 4.
Code Enforcement and the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency (LUESA) will move to a 100,000-square-foot building at 2145 Suttle Ave. that is the former home of the Charlotte School of Law. The renovation and relocation is part of the first phase of an initiative to improve county services.
“Bringing Mecklenburg County to You” was developed by County Manager Dena Diorio to offer services in convenient locations for those who use the services.The new building will include an upgraded customer service center.
Most of the departments that will move into the building will do so during the winter holiday season, Code Enforcement officials said in a release.
The county has created a website, https://bit.ly/1B6BuiN, to track its progress on the initiative.
