County seeking head of economic development

Mecklenburg County has hired Waters & Co., an executive search firm, to assist in the recruitment of an economic development director.
The position was posted on the county’s website Dec. 19. A marketing brochure also has been developed which includes the job description, required qualifications, hiring salary range, and benefits. It also includes a profile of the ideal candidate, an overview of the application and selection process, and some general information about Mecklenburg County.
The county’s goal is to complete an initial screening of applicants in mid-January.
