Movement Mortgage names new CFO

Laura Bowles has joined Movement Mortgage in Charlotte as the lender’s chief financial officer. A 17-year financial services industry veteran, Bowles most recently served as the director and head of consumer and small-business lending products at Citibank’s consumer and commercial bank division.
“Laura is exactly the kind of talent Movement Mortgage needs as we continue to pursue our aggressive goal of owning 10 percent of the purchase market within the first 10 years of business,” said Casey Crawford, Movement Mortgage’s chief executive officer, in a statement.
Prior to working at Citibank, Bowles managed credit, market and operational risk at Bank of America. She also has served as chief financial officer at Wachovia for consumer and commercial deposit, consumer lending products and distribution channels.
Founded in 2008 with two offices and 12 employees, the Movement Mortgage now has more than 280 offices in 38 states. The company has three operation centers, including one in Charlotte.
