REBIC hosting forum for mayoral, City Council candidates

CHARLOTTE – Candidates up for several soon-to-be-open seats on the Charlotte City Council on Thursday will speak at a forum, addressing issues affecting real estate in the city.

The , based in Charlotte, are hosting the event, which is open to the public. , executive public policy director with REBIC, said real estate will be the focus of the forum.

City Council seats in districts 2, 4, 6 and 7; at least one at-large spot; and the mayoral seat are wide open, with no incumbents running for those seats. Many of the district seats will be decided in the primary, which is Sept. 10. The general election to decide the remaining seats is Nov. 5.

The meeting will be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Piedmont Natural Gas Auditorium, at 4720 Piedmont Row Drive. More information on candidates can be found here.
