Habitat for Humanity to build Charlotte subdivision

At a time when many builders are struggling to sell homes, a new subdivision is expected to pop up in Charlotte.
And Habitat for Humanity is behind it.
That’s according to Ann Pilkington, an associate attorney with Charlotte-based law firm Horack Talley, who told The Mecklenburg Times that she’s representing Habitat in the deal.
Habitat plans to buy city property off Mooresville Drive, she said, although she declined to be more specific about the location.
It’s unclear as to when construction will start, as access issues are being worked out, she said.
The hope is to close on the sale by the end of the year, she said.
