Rezoning recommendation not granted for Charlotte theater

Listen to this articleLast week, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission’s zoning committee recommended that approval not be granted to a rezoning request for 3.23 acres at West Sugar Creek Road, North Graham Street and Mineral Springs Road.
Louis Ratcliff Inc. sought the change to allow a tenant to operate a community theater that serves alcohol.
The City Council will decide if it wants to allow the change from business (B-2) to mixed-used development district, optional (MUDD-O).
