That’s according to , CPCC’s spokesman.

Trane is presenting CPCC with a Trane Energy Efficiency Leader Award Wednesday at Tate Hall in the Overcash Building, 1206 Elizabeth Ave.

Trane is part of Ingersoll Rand, which has North American headquarters in Davidson.

Lowrance said the project involved energy-efficient lighting, water and HVAC upgrades in five Central Campus buildings. All the buildings had aging infrastructure with rising energy costs, he said.

Trane subcontracted a substantial portion of the work to Charlotte-based Mechanical Systems and Services.
