Cavella, a new 307-home at 2222 N. Tryon St., is now open for . Developed and built by Fairfield and professionally managed by Bozzuto, the five-story community will introduce more than 300 studio, one- and two-bedroom residences to the intersection of and the emerging neighborhood in spring 2026. 

Situated along ‘s evolving corridor, Cavella blends industrial influence with modern residential design, bringing thoughtfully planned and community spaces to one of the city’s fastest-growing areas. 

“Cavella was designed to deliver the level of finishes, amenities and service typically found in high-rise living, but within a more accessible mid-rise community,” said Michael Gribble, Fairfield’s Vice President of Development for the Carolinas. “Residents get elevated design, outdoor space and connectivity while still feeling rooted in the surrounding neighborhoods.” 

Distinctive Residences 

Cavella features 64 studios, 157 one-bedroom and 86 two-bedroom homes ranging from 538 to 1,289 square feet. Residences offer two interior palettes, modern gray and white/woodtone, along with quartz countertops, large-format kitchen backsplashes, built-in desks and shelving in some units, glass-enclosed showers, luxury vinyl plank flooring and smart-home technology. 

Large windows and the community’s elevated site provide abundant natural light and unobstructed skyline views of Uptown Charlotte. Exterior materials, including composite wood, fiber cement and corrugated metal, reference the surrounding neighborhood’s industrial history and character. 

Amenities Designed for Everyday Living 

Cavella’s amenities emphasize wellness, flexibility and connection. Highlights include: 

  • Two large courtyards, including a Pool Terrace with saltwater pool, sun shelf, cabanas and grills and The Patio featuring a dedicated pet park and gathering areas

Located at the intersection of NoDa, North End and Lockwood, Cavella sits along one of Charlotte’s fastest-evolving corridors on North Tryon Street, across the light rail tracks from NoDa. The community offers convenient access to neighborhood amenities such as Starbucks, Inner Peaks Climbing Gym, NoDa Brewery, Sprouts Supermarket, Camp North End, Optimist Hall and more. The community is also exploring a potential microtransit partnership to further support mobility for residents. 

Cavella is built around its interior parking garage, which includes 441 parking spaces, 414 of which are secured, along with 20 EV charging stations.
