Carter Bank adds veteran mortgage banker Keith Hurley to staff

Hurley will serve as the Bank’s first Mortgage Loan Originator in Charlotte. 

Carter Bank & Trust announced today the hiring of Keith Hurley to serve as the Bank’s first Mortgage Loan Originator in the Charlotte area. 

Well versed in originating purchase, refinance and construction loans, Hurley brings more than 20 years of mortgage lending experience in the Charlotte market, most recently working as a Mortgage Loan Originator at TD Bank. His career has also included stops at First Reliance Bank and Citizens Bank.

Hurley was led to mortgage lending after receiving what he felt was poor service in the purchase of his first home and became convinced he could create a better experience for others on the same journey. 

“I’m excited to join the Carter Bank team and help establish them as a mortgage leader in our community,” Hurley said. “I’m ready to start building relationships with customers and earning their trust through getting to know their needs and the differences and benefits from every option they have available to ensure they are getting the right mortgage to go with the right house.” 

Outside of work, Hurley enjoys spending time with his family, working out and is heavily involved with his church and several area non-profit organizations. 

Hurley will work out of Carter Bank’s East Morehead branch, located in Charlotte at 300 East Morehead.
