Mecklenburg Times staff reports//August 29, 2016//

The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an open house to answer questions and receive comments on a proposed upgrade of the Interstate 77 exit at Gilead Road to a diverging diamond, similar to the one constructed at exit 28 in Cornelius.
The meeting will be from 4-7 p.m. at Huntersville Town Hall, 101 Huntersville-Concord Road.
N.C. DOT representatives will have maps displaying the location and design concept for the project, and those may also be viewed at the agency’s Division 10 District Engineer’s Office, 7605 District Drive, Charlotte, and the office of Huntersville’s town manager at Town Hall.
For more information, contact Diane Wilson, N.C. Dot Human Environment Section, at 919-707-6073 or pdwilson1@.gov. Comments must be received by Sept. 16.
