Cornelius names land development advisory board members

The Cornelius Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved the reappointments of Bob Bruton and Susan Johnson to the Land Development Code Advisory Board.
Bruton began serving on the board in 2011, and Johnson followed a year later.
The town’s development code regulates land-use activities, including standards for density, height, yards and open space, parking, landscaping and lighting.
Commissioners also reappointed Cheryl Crawford as Land Development Code Advisory Board chair and Planning Board representative.
They also named David Dunn to the board. Dunn, a real estate broker, will fill the former spot of newly elected Commissioner Michael Miltich.
Chaz Churchwell, an insurance agent, and Laura Pegram, a real estate broker, were also approved to join the board.
The Land Development Code Advisory Board has 12 members, each serving a two-year staggered term.
