Hendrick begins construction on Cedar Flats

Hendrick Construction Inc. has broken ground on the 82-unit Cedar Flats, an uptown apartment development.

The complex, at 225 N. Cedar St., will offer a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom floorplans with vinyl plank flooring and stainless-steel appliances. Amenities include a conference center, a bike-storage facility, a fitness room, and a pool.

Leasing will begin in January, with the first units becoming available by the end of the first quarter. The property is owned by Delray Ventures and The Boulevard Co.

“Cedar Flats will provide its residents with a more intimate setting over the traditional 200-plus unit complexes that have flooded the Charlotte apartment market,” said Daniel Jimenez, principal of Charlotte-based Delray Ventures and managing partner for The Boulevard Co. “For this reason, we believe our project will be a great addition to the uptown Charlotte rental options.”
