Marvin OKs age-restricted homes

The Marvin Village Council on Tuesday night voted to approve the construction plans for a Pulte Homes age-restricted community called Amber Meadow, near Tom Short and Rea roads. The plans call for 44 single-family homes on 24 acres, in which 80 percent of the owners must be aged 55 or older.

Tuesday’s vote allows land development to begin, but construction won’t be permitted until the Village Council gives final plat approval, which could take up to a year, according to Village Clerk Melody Graham.
