HUNTERSVILLE – The approved a sketch plan Monday night for 42 single-family lots to be added to ‘s existing Crosswinds neighborhood at McCoy and Stratton Farm roads, about a mile east of Interstate 77.

The homes will be built on about 13 acres, with three of the lots added at the entrance of Crosswinds and 39 adjacent to the subdivision’s eastern boundary.

The Board of Commissioners also granted Bowman Development a waiver to allow the street that runs through the development to be longer than the town’s required 800-foot maximum for spans between intersecting roads. Bowman Development is proposing that the street be 1,354 feet so it can make a complete circle through the subdivision and reconnect to Cross End Drive, the entrance to the subdivision.
