Cornelius puts the sexy back

Move over Charlotte, the suburbs are far from boring. Cornelius is one of the sexiest places in America, according to real estate research firm movoto.com.

How did Cornelius get ranked the fourth sexiest suburb? Movoto attributes its high ranking for the town’s nightlife including its bars, clubs and comedy venues. Apparently, Cornelius did really well on the number of lingerie stores per capita too! Unlike Santa Monica, Calif. and Miami Beach which ranked higher than Cornelius in their sexiness score, the Lake Norman town keeps it classy. Rather than having a large number of adult entertainment spots, the city offers numerous massage places for its population.

The top three sexy suburbs in order were Miami Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Fla. and Santa Monica, Calif. Movoto looked at a number of factors in putting together the sexy list including nightlife per capita, the number of lingerie stores, adult stores and adult entertainment venues, massage parlors and hotels. It also took average summer temperature into account because the hotter the weather, the fewer the clothes.
