, the Lakeland, Fla.-based grocer, continues its North Carolina invasion with the revelation of two additional stores in the state.

The company on Friday announced that it would be adding a store in Cornelius – it’s fourth in Mecklenburg County – and Winston-Salem. The Cornelius store will be in the Magnolia Plaza shopping center, at Jetton Road and West Catawba Avenue. The Winston-Salem store will be at 34 Miller St.

In Cornelius, Publix is looking to put up a 49,000-square-foot store with a drive-thru pharmacy that is set to open late 2014. The 49,000-square-foot Winston-Salem location will open in 2015, according to the news release.

Cornelius and Winston-Salem join the previously-announced N.C. store locations in Asheville, Ballantyne, Cary, Mint Hill and South End. None of those stores will open this year. Publix does have two stores open just across the South Carolina border, one in Fort Mill and one in Indian Land.
