HUNTERSVILLE — JB Waddell Construction of Mint Hill is set to start next month a $1.4 million renovation project for the store at the Northcross Shopping Center in Huntersville, at 9759 Sam Furr Road.

The renovations are slated to take about three months to complete, according to Catherine Becker, a Harris Teeter spokeswoman. She said the store will remain open throughout the renovations.

“This project is one of eight major remodels scheduled to be finished during our current fiscal year, and in this specific instance, the remodel entails changes to the interior layout,” Becker said in an email, since Harris Teeter policy doesn’t allow telephone or in-person interviews.

Renovations include relocating and renovating the store’s pharmacy, customer service desk and frozen food cases, as well as adding a pizza and cheese bar in the fresh foods section of the store, Becker said.
