Wing Drone Delivery Launches at Northcross Shopping Center, the Second Commercial Drone Hub in North Carolina 

American Asset Corporation is proud to announce the launch of Wing drone delivery service at Northcross Shopping Center. Northcross is now the second retail center in North Carolina to offer commercial drone delivery through DoorDash, following the first launch at The Arboretum Shopping Center in South Charlotte. 

Beginning today, eligible customers in the Charlotte metro area can place orders through the DoorDash app and receive select items delivered by air in as little as 20 minutes from participating stores located at Northcross. 

The new Wing Nest at Northcross Shopping Center expands Wing and DoorDash’s growing drone delivery network and now serves more than 30,000 households across the region. Customers can choose from a selection of over 50 local and national brands offering food, beverages, and convenience items available for drone delivery. 

Wing drones fly up to 60 miles per hour and avoid traffic entirely, allowing orders to arrive quickly and at the right temperature. Customers simply open the DoorDash app, look for the Drone icon, and place an eligible order if their address is within range. Wing drones offer a one-way delivery range of up to six miles and require a delivery area approximately the size of a picnic blanket. 

Now through January 27, eligible customers in the Charlotte area can receive ten dollars off and free delivery on their first drone order in the DoorDash app.
