M/I Homes to build in Davidson’s Park Place
Columbus, Ohio-based M/I Homes, one of the biggest homebuilders by volume of units in the Charlotte market, has bought lots in the Park Place subdivision and is planning 14 new homes.
M/I Homes is getting a subdivision on Charlotte’s periphery
For M/I Homes Charlotte, the third time was a farm. In its recent push to self-develop raw land into lots, the most-permitted homebuilder last year in Mecklenburg County has won its first of three rezoning battles to develop and build a residential subdivision.
Meck 2012 homebuilding already over 2011 levels
According to just-released, year-to-date data compiled by the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County had issued 1,911 building permits worth $300.5 million as of Oct. 31 for the benchmark single-family detached house.
Avery Park decision pushed back
In the latest wrinkle in the squabble over M/I Homes’ proposed Avery Park subdivision, the company has decided to wait two more weeks before having Huntersville take a final vote on the project, according to Whitney Hodges, senior planner for the town.
M/I opens model home in Creekshire Estates
M/I Homes said it has opened a model home in the Creekshire Estates community in southwest Charlotte. The model includes a butler’s pantry with wine storage, a mother-in-law suite and a deck connecting to the master bedroom.
