Canopy MLS acquires the MLS line of business operated by Cleveland County Association of Realtors

Canopy MLS, a wholly-owned subsidiary corporation of Canopy Realtor® Association, is pleased to announce the purchase of the MLS line of business operated by Cleveland County Association of Realtors®, effective Feb. 1.  The Cleveland County Association of Realtors® will remain as the local Realtor® association serving Cleveland County.

2020 Cleveland County Association of Realtors® President Danny Clay said, “After doing our due diligence, we’re excited about our MLS becoming part of Canopy MLS and see great benefits for our subscribers. The greater access to technology, tools and resources that Canopy MLS will provide in a rapidly-changing industry will help our brokers compete in today’s fast-paced real estate market.”

Canopy MLS has been growing regionally since 2017, acquiring the NC Mountains MLS in the Asheville region, the MLSs in Rowan, Burke and McDowell counties, and in November 2019 officially became a dual state MLS with the acquisition of Piedmont Regional Multiple Listing Service. Combined, this growth accounts for more than 18,000 subscribers.

Canopy MLS is the private cooperative Realtors® use for access to tens of thousands of residential listings in a 24-county service area, including Charlotte, the mountains area of North Carolina, South Carolina, and beyond.

Additionally, Canopy MLS has been serving as a wholesale vendor for the MLS of Catawba Valley and its 600 subscribers in the Hickory/Catawba County and Lenoir/Caldwell County areas of western North Carolina since 2018.
