The Board of Commissioners is slated to decide Feb. 15 on Bluestream Partners’ request to add 103 single-family homes to its planned Bailey’s Glen II age-restricted subdivision.

The board early last year approved Bluestream’s petition to build 76 homes on 58 acres near the existing Bailey’s Glen subdivision. But Bluestream wants to expand that project to include a total of 179 detached homes on 110 acres.

The town’s planning staff will recommend approving the amendment, according to planner Will Washam.

Last year the town rezoned the vacant 58-acre property from rural preservation to rural preservation conditional, which is required by the town for all subdivisions with more than 30 lots within the Rural Preservation Zoning District.

The houses at Bailey’s Glen II will resemble those built in Bailey’s Glen and will range in size from 2,100 to 3,300 square feet. They will be priced from the mid $300,000s to $600,000, said Lori Lee, sales associate at Bailey’s Glen. Future residents will have access to a clubhouse and a community swimming pool.
