Crescent Alexander Village, the latest offering of luxury apartments by Crescent Resources, is now open for business.
The 320-unit, garden-style apartment community in the University Research Park area is the first phase of development in a 63-acre multi-use development.
Located on Senator Royall Drive, south of Mallard Creek Church Road, the community has 0ne, two and three bedroom apartments featuring gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, ten-foot ceilings, soaking tubs in the bath and large walk-in closets. Rents range from $850 to $1,505.
The community also has eight separate cottage units overlooking a pond and fitness trail.
In developing the complex, Crescent sought to integrate some of the historic character of the area into the modern amenities. The vernacular design of the structures including the meeting house’s stonework reflects the craftsmanship of stone homes built in the 1700’s.
Crescent reclaimed timber from the property to use in the tray ceiling and mantle sat the meeting house and for the mantles at the cottages. In carrying the historic conceptual plan, streets in the community are named after members of the Alexander family who originally owned the land.
“We strived to preserve the property’s history and natural resources, and we believe residents will appreciate the beauty of a community that integrates timber from the land,” said Elam Hall, development manager with Crescent’s multifamily group.
Amenities at the apartments include a saltwater pool with sundeck, outdoor yoga lawn, a health club, outdoor kitchen and unconventional offerings of complimentary bicycles, an onsite car wash and Starbucks coffee kiosk.
The Preston Partnership was the architect on the project and LandDesign provided the landscape and civil engineering.
