National demand for homes stays flat, according to Redfin snapshot
Redfin, an online real estate listing site, is out with its national survey of its agents looking at the pulse of the September housing market. Each month, the company tracks homebuyer demand by tabulating the number of home tours requested and offers made across the country.
One-fourth of homeowners living there alone
More consumers are opting to live alone, with single buyers making up a quarter of all home purchases, according to the National Association of Realtors. In the U.S., there are 33 million one-person households, and living solo is becoming an international trend.
