Duke picks York site to prepare for industrial development

Carowinds plans $50 million expansion
The Ohio company that owns Carowinds says it will spend $50 million over the next several years to expand the theme park on the North Carolina-South Carolina state line.
Carowinds Holding property foreclosed
The former King’s Gym and Pro Shop, a 25,706 square-foot building at 3722 S. Tryon St., was sold at foreclosure on Dec. 16. Built in 1983, the building was owned by Charlotte-based Carowinds Holding, LLC and foreclosed by RBC Bank.
Carowinds owner buys 61 acres
