Charlotte-area home sales, prices rise


Charlotte-area home sales and prices rose in April from the same month a year ago, the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association said last week. There were 2,170 closings in the month, up 15.3 percent from 1,882 in April 2011. The average sales price increased to $214,779. That’s up 5.6 percent from $203,442 in the same month last year.
