Park Commercial Real Estate Expands Office Leadership Team

Park Commercial Real Estate (Park CRE) has announced that veteran broker Chandler Knox, SIOR, has joined their office team as a Partner alongside Charlie Swanson, SIOR, and Vince Sumner. Knox, previously a Vice President with Colliers International, brings extensive brokerage experience serving both institutional and local tenants and landlords as well as investment sales and acquisitions of office assets.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join such a highly regarded group of professionals in the commercial real estate industry, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve my current and future clients alongside Charlie, Vince and the rest of the Park CRE team,” said Knox. “We see a unique opportunity to partner with local business owners and investors in need of professional brokerage support and services focused solely on the local office market, the clients I love serving most.”

Throughout his career, Knox has been involved in over 350 transactions exceeding 2 million SF and totaling more than $250 million in volume. He has represented large institutional owners and Fortune 500 companies as well as local, regional and startup firms. In 2020, Chandler achieved the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation, which is earned by top producers and only held by a select group of approximately 3,500 commercial practitioners around the world.

A notable deal he closed when he served at Colliers International was the $5.4 million sale of the Friendship Trays building on Distribution Street in June 2020. Knox also represented Indorama Ventures in their 18,600 SF corporate headquarters last year, as well as the major 106,000 SF office relocation of Principal Financial to Proximity Park where he represented the landlord in 2019.

Knox was named Rookie of the Year for Colliers in 2016 and is a member of CoreNet Carolinas and a board member of the Charlotte Region Board of Commercial Realtors.

“We are thrilled to bring Chandler into the family and feel like we’re getting ahead of what we expect to be a wave of post-pandemic office activity,” commented Charlie Swanson, partner of Park CRE. “We are excited about the growth of our firm in the last couple of years, and as a result we have recently expanded our office space.”

It has been an active year for Park CRE, celebrating its 10th year in business as well as relocating its office to 3,000 SF on Peterson Drive in Lower South End (LoSo) where two old industrial buildings have been reimagined and renovated to become creative office space. Park CRE purchased and renovated one building for its operations earlier this year in which Park CRE will be joined by SeamonWhiteside later in the year. Cline Design occupies the other adaptive reuse building, a growing national trend in sustainable redevelopment or repurposing buildings to have new life. The Park CRE building on Peterson Drive sits a block from Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and the redevelopment of the former Bowers Fiber warehouse that houses tenants such as Brewers at Yancey and Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen.

“Being joined by SeamonWhiteside and Cline Design in the adjacent building has surpassed our vision for the project and we couldn’t be happier to have such wonderful complementary tenants adjacent to our Park CRE office,” remarked Vince Sumner, partner of Park CRE.
