Metropolitan is pleased to announce its newest restaurant, Frutta Bowls. The health-focused restaurant, featuring acai bowls with seasonal fruits and vegetables, will be located between Pizzeria Omaggio and Zoe’s Kitchen. The restaurant will be the Charlotte-area’s second location and will occupy just over 1,000 sq. ft., and with an opening slated for early fall.

“We’re excited to welcome Frutta Bowls to our growing retail portfolio,” said Jennifer Valentini, general manager of Metropolitan. “Their clean and healthy menu is a nice extension of our other dining options and provides an enhanced selection for our customers.”

Launched in 2016, Frutta Bowls has been gaining momentum across the country for its fresh take on creating delicious, filling health bowls with a base of acai, pitaya or kale. Frutta Bowls also features oatmeal bowls and smoothies, as well as protein balls, kombucha, and grab-and-go items. Ingredients are always fresh, and seasonal items are introduced throughout the year.

“We chose Metropolitan because we love its city feel, and how our customers can enjoy one of our bowls while taking in the view of the Charlotte skyline,” said franchise owner Nick Lancetti. “We can’t wait to open and offer the community great-tasting superfoods while promoting a healthier lifestyle.”
