The Southern Ideal Home Show this year will focus on “rethinking” home improvement.
The show runs Sept. 9-11 at the Park Expo and Conference Center at 800 Briar Creek Road, Charlotte, and will showcase more than 200 exhibitors offering inspiration for remodeling projects from cost-effective updating to complete makeovers. The theme of the 32nd annual event is “Rethink, Refresh, Remodel.”
“A home remodel starts with a photo you saw in a magazine or something you saw on TV – an idea,” said Show Manager Mardee Woodward. “We help homeowners take those initial thoughts and turn them into a reality – ones you can budget for. Whether you’re just starting to brainstorm – or you’re ready to break ground – this show has something for you. And as always, we’ve done all the advance work for you. All you have to do is come and explore.”
“The Southern Ideal Home Show is for both total, roll-your-sleeves-up DIYers and those homeowners who hire out contracting jobs, decorating and landscaping services,” Woodward added.
Show hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, and Saturday, Sept. 10, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.
Admission is $10 at the door, and free for youth 15 and under accompanied by a paying adult. Discount tickets are available online, as is a chance to win a $500 shopping spree sponsored by Valpak. The price for people 55 and older is $8 on Friday, and free admission, with a valid ID, will be granted to teachers on Saturday and active and retired military members, emergency medical technicians, firefighters and police officers on Sunday. Parking is also free.
