A new 88,000-square-foot senior living center is coming to Indian Land, South Carolina, later this year, according to a press release from the developer.
Mississippi-based Cardinal Ventures is developing The Blake at Edgewater Corporate Park at S.C. Highway 160 and U.S. 521. The company plans a groundbreaking in late 2016, the release said.
The building will feature suites for senior living and one- and two-bedroom units in the assisted living option. The memory-support facility focusing on Alzheimer’s and dementia care will feature both studio and one-bedroom units designed to provide a home-like environment.
“We chose this Indian Land location for many reasons,” said architect Harrison Young of Cardinal Ventures in the release. “Indian Land and northern Lancaster County are experiencing rapid residential and commercial growth. This location…provides future residents quick access to an abundance of entertainment, shopping and dining at Edgewater Commons, Ballantyne Village and Stonecrest at Piper Glen, in addition to direct access to the new RedStone retail center across the street. It was a perfect fit.”
A welcome center is expected to open near the site in late 2016, according to the release.
