Nu-Tec Systems plans to purchase an existing building at 302 Rolling Hill Road in Lakeside Business Park in Mooresville for a manufacturing operation.
The company said it expects to invest $3 million and hire 15 full-time workers.
Nu-Tec Systems, headquartered in Gurnee, Illinois, manufactures private label arc welding and plasma cutting products in the automotive market.
Nu-Tec said its recent acquisition of H&S Autoshot Manufacturing Ltd. in Canada created an immediate need for expanded production and a larger distribution center in the U.S.
“We will manufacture and distribute a wide array of products at the Mooresville location,” said Michael Cooper, president of Nu-Tec Systems. “With our ever-evolving electronic inverter welding technology this location will give us a competitive edge to meet our customer-driven demands.”
The company could receive an incentive grant program rebate up to $148,200 from Iredell County and the town of Mooresville over a five-year period. The incentive grant is a performance-based program.
The Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corporation made the discretionary grant request on the company’s behalf.
