Bobby Williams has been hired as the new town manager for Harrisburg.
Williams has a master’s degree in public affairs from UNC Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree in political science and broadcast communication from Winthrop University.
He previously worked for the town of Huntersville in a variety of roles over the last 10 years, according to a press release. In 2011 he was named Huntersville’s employee of the year.
“We feel that Bobby Williams is an excellent choice to lead the town of Harrisburg forward,” Mayor Steve Sciascia in a release. “His experience in a rapid-growth municipality bordering Charlotte will be of great benefit to our community.”
Williams’ first day on the job will be May 2.
