The interactive workshop is open to the public and will deal with questions such as “How will we grow?  How will we travel?  What will we look like?”

Plans underway in 2016 include:

  • Update on the countywide transit service plan for the Charlotte Area Transit System.

  • Update on the coordinated human services public transportation plan.

  • Lynx Silver Line transit study.

  • Update on the transportation action plan for the Charlotte Department of Transportation.

  • Comprehensive plan for the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization.

  • Update on Charlotte BIKES.

  • Charlotte WALKS.

  • Community character place types for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Department.

The workshop is 4-8 p.m. at the center, 310 N. Kings Drive.

Children can learn bicycle safety tips and participate in a bicycle rodeo sponsored by Trips for Kids.
