Pappas Properties has sold two parcels at Berewick Town Center.

Steele Creek Partnership LLC  purchased a 2.4-acre site at the southwest Charlotte multi-use development and will build a 135-room Hampton Inn & Suites while Carolina Restaurant Group acquired a 1-acre site for construction of a Wendy’s.

The two new projects will accompany an already opened Walgreens drug store and a 53,000-square-foot Harris Teeter expected to open in the fall, according to a release from the company.

Berewick Town Center is the commercial component of Berewick, a community also developed by Pappas with more than 1,500 homes located off Interstate 485 at Shopton Road West and Steele Creek Road.  Pappas plans to develop more than 22,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a village green, apartments and professional and medical offices.

William Latta represented Steele Creek LP in acquiring the hotel site and Bob Vande Weghe of Evergreen Commercial Properties represented Carolina Restaurant Group in the Wendy’s site transaction. Brian Roth of Pappas Properties marketed both properties for the developer.
