Terwilliger Pappas Multifamily Partners and Federal Capital Partners have launched construction on Solis Waverly, a 375-unit apartment complex in the Waverly mixed-use project being built in south Charlotte.
Novant Health and Whole Foods will anchor the 90-acre Waverly development at Providence and Ardrey Kell roads. The site will feature two five- to six-story class-A office buildings, a 141-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel, 150 single-family homes and a total of 250,000 square feet of retail space.
The 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods is scheduled to open mid-2016. The site is being developed by Childress Klein and Crosland Southeast.
“Waverly is a very attractive setting for our Solis apartment brand given the appeal of the area and the tenants and amenities that are a part of the development,” said Tom Barker, Terwilliger Pappas region president. “Solis Waverly and its design features have been specially tailored for the needs of time-starved residents seeking to make the most of their leisure hours,” added Barker.
The Solis master plan includes a fitness and exercise studio, resort-style pool with bar, a pet park, and conference room. Three of the ten buildings will feature elevators. The initial one, two and three-bedroom apartments are expected to be completed by spring. Spring 2016.
Terwilliger Pappas, founded in 2013, has developed numerous apartment communities under the firm’s Solis brand. Completed projects include Solis Sharon Square in Charlotte’s SouthPark area and Solis Crabtree in north Raleigh. The company is currently developing five additional communities in Atlanta, Charlotte and Durham. Federal Capital Partners has invested in or financed more than $4 billion in assets since its founding in 1999.
