David Weekley Homes holds school-supply drive

David Weekley Homes is collecting back-to-school supplies at its model homes in Charlotte through August 15. Items will be donated to Classroom Central, a Charlotte organization that distributes free supplies to students living in poverty.

Requested supplies include backpacks, calculators, glue, bulletin boards, construction paper, erasers, colored pencils, markers and tote bags. Model homes can be found here.

Houston-based David Weekley Homes, founded in 1976, operates in 20 cities across the United States. The company has several central townhome developments, including two in SouthEnd and Dilworth. The company recently received rezoning approval to develop a mixture of up to 44 attached and detached single-family townhomes on 5.5 acres in south Charlotte between North Community House Road and Misty Ridge Lane.
