M/I Homes to start 120-unit development

M/I Homes Inc. is launching constructing on a 120-home development in southwest Charlotte. The community, dubbed Clarabella, will feature ranch and two-story designs as well as options for flexible space, guest suites on the main floor and loft areas.
Prices begin in the low $200,000s, with presales starting this fall. Model homes are slated for completion in November. The site is off Rock Island Road and Shopton Road West.
M/I Homes says the development was named after a song recorded by the Beatles, among other artists. Streets will include Strawberry Field Lane and others named for Beatles favorites.
M/I Homes, based in Columbus, Ohio, has built nearly 90,000 single-family homes nationwide.
