The highest 96 bidders will be treated to the first rides on Carowinds’ Fury 325, in an auction that will benefit the Cam Newton Foundation.

Carowinds amusement park is auctioning off seats for the first rides on its newest roller coaster, Fury 325.

The park is giving 96 people the opportunity to ride the newest member of its roller coaster family before it officially opens to the general public in the spring. The rides will be given during a private media event on March 25, and all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Cam Newton Foundation, which seeks to improve the lives of young people through community programs and education.

Bids will be accepted through March 15, and can be submitted on Carowinds’ website on the “Fury 325 First Ride Auction” page under the “What’s New” tab on the home page.

Each auction winner will receive a first-ride invitation, two regular single-day admission tickets valid for any day during Carowinds’ 2015 season, a Fury 325 first-rider T-shirt, and a Fury 325 first-rider hat. Winners in the first row of each of the three rides will also receive a football autographed by Panther quarterback Cam Newton.

Fury 325 will be the world’s largest giga coaster, which is defined by amusement park ride developer Intamin Amusement Rides as coasters that have a first drop of at least 295 feet. Fury 325 will be – you guessed it – 325 feet tall, and will travel up to 95 mph.
