CHARLOTTE — Vice President Joe Biden is visiting Charlotte to help promote the administration’s almost $500 billion spending bill to fix the nation’s aging infrastructure.
Biden will be joined Thursday by U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, the city’s former mayor.
The two are visiting five states promoting the plan to fix the nation’s roads, bridges and other infrastructure. They were in South Carolina on Wednesday.
During that visit, Biden said that infrastructure was a key in building America but now the nation is lagging behind the rest of the world.
