Matthews OKs 7 more Habitat homes

MATTHEWS – The Board of Commissioners on Monday approved a preliminary plat for seven lots on 1.47 acres along Matthews School Road in the Sunrise Crossing subdivision. The homes are being built by Matthews Habitat for Humanity, which plans to build a total of 25 homes there.

Matthews Habitat has built 102 homes in the town, 97 of them in the Crestdale area. The homes cost the organization about $75,000 to build and the sales are limited to buyers with household incomes below the area’s average.
