CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte Regional Realtor Association/Carolina Multiple Listing Services Inc. has honored several local real estate professionals.
Sandy Larsh, a Realtor and broker-in-charge with Cottingham Chalk Hayes Realtors, has been named 2014 Realtor of the Year. The award is the highest honor given by the association to a Realtor who has made outstanding contributions to the community above and beyond the activities within the real estate profession.
Larsh’s leadership experience within the association spans 35 years, during which she has served on various committees. She also taught agent training at the Mingle School of Real Estate from 2007-2008 and served on the N.C. Association of Realtors’ board. Her community involvement includes work at St. Gabriel’s and Elevation churches.
Brian Casper, a Realtor with Keller Williams-Ballantyne, was named the 2014 Vane Mingle Rookie of the Year. The award is presented to a new Realtor who excels in his or her profession. Criteria include completing the first twelve months of membership between Nov. 1, 2013 and Oct. 31, 2014. The member must be new to the real estate industry; have not sold real estate or been a member of a Realtor association before joining; and closing at least 10 transactions during the first 12 months of membership. Casper closed 23 transactions in his first 12 months, with a sales volume of more than $3.4 million. He volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, coaches football and leads fundraising efforts for the Ardrey Kell baseball team.
The President’s 2014 Committee Chair of the Year Award was given to T. Anthony Lindsey, Realtor and broker-in-charge/owner of GlobeCrossing Realty. Lindsey, a member of the association for nearly 20 years, also serves on committees of the N.C. Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He has been involved with many housing, government affairs and Realtor organizations, and worked on boards at the city of Charlotte’s Housing Trust Fund and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.
