Trinity Partners, a sister company of Trinity Capital, has been hired to lease and manage the building, according to an announcement.
At the time of acquisition, 92 percent of the building’s 584,315 square feet was occupied, with Duke Energy as the majority tenant.
“This is a terrific acquisition for Trinity and DRA,” Gary Chesson, founding partner at Trinity Capital, said in the statement. “Our anchor tenant, Duke Energy, has had a presence in the building for several decades, and 400 South Tryon Street is located in the heart of Third Ward, which has become a new center of gravity in Charlotte’s downtown.”
This follows Trinity Capital’s most recent development project announcement, a 300,000-square-foot Class A build-to-suit office building in South End at South Tryon and Morehead streets.
