Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Charlotte recently hosted its 6th Annual Queen City in Pink campaign, which encouraged local businesses to turn their buildings and surroundings pink from Sept. 27 to Oct. 5 in support of the community’s survivors of breast cancer and to honor those who have been affected by or lost their lives to the disease. In partnership with Susan G. Komen Charlotte, CREW Charlotte conducts the campaign in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
“It’s critical that organizations like CREW Charlotte provide survivors and women battling the disease this type of recognition and support,” said CREW member and breast cancer survivor Amanda Hibberts, “Just the positivity, both mental and spiritual, is greater than could ever come in any bottle of medication.”
“It’s important to our organization to add even a glimmer of hope or ounce of support to those impacted by this disease,” says Bobbi Jo Lazarus, CREW Charlotte president. “CREW Charlotte is all about supporting each other in our professional and personal lives, and we hope our local community will join us in this support effort again this year.”
