Meeting held on US 74 improvements

The N.C. Department of Transportation and the city of Monroe will hold an informational workshop from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 16 to explain proposed safety improvements to several intersections along U.S. 74 between Fowler Secrest Road and N.C. 200.

The proposed improvements would eliminate or modify turns at intersections without signals at Timber Lane; the Takura/Little Caesers, Aldi/Cookout and Bundy Square shopping centers; and the Relax Inn/Jameson Inn driveways.
