CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte software company that automates how companies pay their bills is being offered nearly $9 million if it adds 600 new jobs.
A state committee that oversees a key North Carolina incentives program on Monday approved a deal for AvidXchange Inc., which plans an expansion from its current 300 employees in North Carolina, New Jersey and Georgia.
AvidXchange could get up to $7.5 million from the state if it meets job targets and another $1.1 million from local governments. The new jobs are expected to pay an average of more than $61,000.
The 14-year-old AvidXchange is privately owned and tries to make it easy for suppliers to submit their payment invoices electronically.
