On Dec. 13, the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association hosted its holiday awards lunch and annual meeting at the Crowne Plaza Charlotte Executive Park. More than 400 Realtors gathered to honor the industry’s leaders and association volunteers.

The 2013 recipients of the industry awards include:

  • Donna Anderson, Realtor/broker with Cottingham Chalk Hayes was named 2013 Realtor of the Year, the highest honor given by the association to a member. Anderson received the award for her “outstanding contributions to the community above and beyond the activities within the real estate community,” according to a CRRA release.
  • Jeffrey Clay, a Realtor with Keller Williams-Ballantyne, was named the 2013 Vane Mingle Rookie of the Year. The award is issued to a new Realtor who excels in his new profession.
  • Anne Marie Howard, the long-time chief executive office of the CRRA, received the President’s Award.
  • Scott Wurtzbacher, Realtor/broker at the W Realty Group, was honored with the President’s 2013 Committee Chair of the Year award.

As a holiday tradition, each year individual members donate a new toy at the event. This year more than 500 toys will be donated to Salvation Army of Charlotte for needy children.
