ContraVest receives $800K permit for The Addison

CHARLOTTE – Mecklenburg County has issued a building permit, valued at $798,387, to Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based ContraVest for work on the clubhouse at The Addison at South Tryon apartment complex.

The clubhouse will be 8,328 square feet total, of which 6,021 square feet will be heated, according to county records.

Construction on the $32 million, 321-unit project began in January. The Addison is going up on South Tryon Street in southwest Charlotte.

Scott Steinhilber, predevelopment manager with ContraVest, said the first units in The Addison will be available to tenants starting in October. The project will be finished the following June, he said.

Of the 321 units, 17 will be studios, 114 will be one-bedroom units, 162 will be two-bedroom units and 28 will have three bedrooms.

Square footage of the units at The Addison will range from 639 for the smallest studio to 1,414 for the largest three-bedroom unit, Steinhilber said. Rents will range from $715 for studios to $1,300 for three-bedroom apartments.
